Ani's contribution to this project is a compelling cover of Pete Seeger's "My Name Is Lisa Kalvelage", a song about the true story of a woman who, during the height of the Vietnam war, prevented a shipment of Napalm from being delivered onto American soil by refusing to move from the loading platform. Where Have All The Flowers Gone: The Songs of Pete Seeger, Volume I & 2 is an eloquent and diverse tribute to Pete Seeger, an American musical legend, and consists of 39 tracks totaling over two and a half hours of music. The two-disc album features covers of Seeger songs and poems by such respected artists as Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Billy Bragg, the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco as well as a previously unreleased song called "And Still I Am Searching" that Seeger recorded especially for this album.
