At the show in Sacramento, there was an audience member with a sign saying, “Our family loves your values.” Later in the night, the performer thanked the audience with a subtle Sound of Music reference and began her last song by soulfully humming a few measures of “Amazing Grace.” For a moment, you may think that you've stumbled onto the wrong web page, but this is Ani DiFranco at her best. The second album in the official bootleg series is a perfect snapshot of the Little Folksinger tweaking our sensibilities. “Back Back Back” and “Both Hands” peek out like old friends saying, “Hello” in between introductions to compositions from then-unreleased Educated Guess.
