Susan Alzner, Ani's Road Manager, told the audience in Portland last
April, "I love this state because you have such an impressive
progressive political history." Progressive politics were certainly in
the air that night when Congressman Dennis Kucinich stopped by to speak
to the crowd about 'possibility thinking', urging people to remember
what they can accomplish when they look to the future. What the future
holds is anyone's educated guess, and Ani keeps you contemplating during
this third release in the official bootleg series.
With "Origami," (from Educated Guess) "Marrow," (from Revelling / Reckoning) and "You Each Time" (from Educated Guess), the Portland official bootleg is your first chance to hear Ani perform these favorites live from the comfort of your couch. "Literal", another of the three extra poems included in her last studio album, is nestled happily amongst the songs on this release. You can also catch a preview of Ani's next studio effort with the song "Knuckle Down" (from the upcoming album to be released in January 2005), and we'll just let the rest be a surprise! The official Portland bootleg captures the essence of Ani especially for you in an extended release. The show ran a little long, so we've doubled your pleasure in a two-disc bootleg sold for the same $10 price. You keep listening, and the Little Folksinger will keep 'em coming! |
