Three (and a half) musicians took the Orpheum Theatre stage in
Boston on Friday, November 10, 2006; Ani with her guitar slightly
shifted to the side to make room for a bulging belly, Todd
Sickafoose providing soulful bass lines, and Mike Dillon adding
percussive melodies on vibraphone, tabla and a myriad of other
percussion instruments.

the Little Folksinger was full of good cheer and new music. Three
years after the first Official Boston Bootleg was recorded, Boston
11.10.06 features three brand new songs (“Way Tight,”
“The Atom” and “Alla This”), five tracks
from Reprieve that have never appeared on a live release and the
first live recording of “Napoleon” since So Much
Shouting, So Much Laughter. In fact, there are so many musical
goodies they spilled over onto a second CD. Throw in a whole lot of
talk about babies and bodily functions (anybody notice an increase
in their saliva production lately?) and you have the next step in
Ani’s continuing musical evolution.
